Solid Box - Used on Travel Trailer

I mounted this box on the tongue of my travel trailer in between the propane tanks and the front of the travel trailer. The low profile allows for the lid to open. I had to trim some of the propane tank cover back, but the end result looks very clean. I moved the batteries inside so I wanted to utilize this open space for a box to hold wheel checks, stabilizers, hitch bars, etc. It arrived with no damage, and the latch, lid struts and lock all work really good. I mounted it with self tapping stainless screws directly into the trailer frame. I ordered a larger one first and could not make it fit. so i want with the shorter version to maximize the available space. I would recommend this box.

3.12.23 so let me start off by saying, for the money, this thing is great. The handles are spring loaded so no noise/bounce when driving. Has strut to keep the lid open. Love that feature. Lightweight but pretty darn sturdy. Has weather stripping, only time will tell if it works.. No mounting tabs so it is up to you to mount it. Which is totally fine.
My only complaint is: the key is not needed to lock it. Which sounds like it is not a bad thing. Well, go ahead and leave the key in the box by mistake, like I did, and wham. Locked out. Thank goodness I had to drill a 1 in hole in the bottom for wires anyway so I was able to retrieve the key (to be fair, my daughter does not have sausage fingers like her dad and SHE retrieved the keys).
Looks good. I like it.

They could do a little better job of packing the item for shipping but mine arrived with no issues. Read some reviews that said it was not waterproof. When I received mine, I checked the lid for any play after closing. The bolt they use for the latch is adjustable, if you have some play in the lid just adjust bolt to close tighter. This should take care of any leaks and make it more water resistant. All in all it’s a good box for the money. Good for straps, bungee cords, wheel chocks and all your trailering needs.
